Hello everybody! The first official Aria of the Week here at the Countertenor Corner is "Quella flamma" from Handel's Arminio. It is performed by David Hansen.

Welcome to the first post for the new Countertenor Corner, which hopes to become the place for all the latest information about countertenors past and present. Started a few years after the Contralto Corner, the Countertenor Corner will hopefully become a showcase for the talents of those amazing guys who sing everything from alto to coloratura soprano.

The five men below are my personal favourites. I hope you like them. Do also check out the Performances Page, where you can see listings of the performances of (currently) these five countertenors, from October to December 2013. More will be added in due course.
